Vixen’s GP-D2 mount (upgraded DX) is the beefier version of the GP Polaris mount. In appearance it is superficially similar to the GP mount but it conceals many advantages. Stainless steel axes and bearings, built in polar finder and illuminator, incredibly strong latitude adjustment make this the choice for people who require that something extra in a telescope. Whichever mounting you require, they all ooze quality at an affordable price. The ongoing popularity of the Vixen D2(upgraded DX) mounts is largely attributable to their obvious quality but also very much due to the distinct advantages and accuracy of their optional goto Skysensor 2000 PC hand held computer.
