A telescope range designed to give the best possible performance in both mechanical, electronic and of course optical aspects. We are quite sure you will be totally amazed with their performance. Nothing has been spared to achieve optimised optical and mechanical excellence. The 250mm f6.3 model is for high resolution views and imaging of all celestial subjects especially planets and the moon. Globular clusters are stunning along with double stars showing text book diffraction patterns. Sphinx mount. Hand held computer controlled with full colour sky graphics display. Goto and many other features as standard. The last word in computer control. The SPX range as been developed purely because of the tremendous number of experienced observers who have asked for a custom built, high quality system. After years of using many mass produced commercially made telescopes, so many have realised that above any other factor, optical performance is paramount. Therefore, all the features they have asked for have been integrated into the SPX range. Complemented with the revolutionary Sphinx mount you can be assured of nothing but excellence. We have spared nothing in achieving superlative performance. We have now seized the opportunity to offer both the highest quality telescopes and the phenomenal Vixen Sphinx computer controlled mounting, to complete the package. We appreciate in this telescope range, the detail image quality is both excellent and consistent and to achieve this quality, one aspect has been to utilise as small as possible a secondary mirror size to enable the best possible minimum obstruction without any undue reduction in field of view. The innovative STAR BOOK hand controller offers astronomical navigation with a large full-colour LCD screen! The colour screen is a detailed star chart that acts as a navigational and GOTO guide for the mount. It's features include: Large colour liquid crystal display. (4.7 inch, 320x420 pixels, 4096 colours) With the STAR BOOK (Star-Chart Go-To Controller) You can simply aim a telescope, mounted on the SPHINX, at any celestial object by clicking on the LCD panel. The LCD panel offers a a comfortable 4.7-inch screen (320X240 pixels) with 4096 colours. The STAR BOOK comprises of an ultra-high-speed CPU internally which is an 32bit RISC processor, CS89712 (ARM720T Core), 75MHz clock-speed with 8MB SDRAM and 4MB Flash ROM. ((L)195mmx(W)145mmx(H)28mm.
